Certificate II Hospitality (SIT20207)



Outline

The Academy is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) which offers Certificates II, III & IV in Hospitality.

Certificate II Hospitality is being provided by The Academy as a means by which employers and employees can benefit.

An Employer may benefit financially, subject to the employee being eligible for Government Funding

An Employee can benefit by obtaining a Nationally Accredited Certificate II in Hospitality by just continuing to do their current job and attain accreditation at no cost to themselves.


Who is Eligible?

Any Staff member who works at least 21 hours a week on average, and is an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident. The Staff member may not be eligible if they have a qualification greater than or equal to a Certificate II, in any field. (e.g. – Certificate II in Retail etc)


Course Time

The course is competency based and may take 12 months to complete (many participants are able to complete their work in a shorter period). A Qualification and Trade Certificate is issued on successful completion of the course. A total of 12 Units must be completed to attain the qualification, inclusive of:

  • Work with Colleagues & Customers
  • Work in a Socially Diverse Environment
  • Follow Health & Safety Procedures
  • Develop & Update Hospitality Industry Knowledge
  • Follow Workplace Hygiene
  • Communicate on the Telephone
  • Develop & Update Food and Beverage Knowledge
  • Operate a Bar
  • Clean & Tidy Bar
  • Clean Premises & Equipment
  • Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol
