Outline
The Academy is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) which offers Certificates II, III & IV in Hospitality.
Certificate III Hospitality is being provided by the Academy as a means by which employers and employees can benefit.
An Employer may benefit financially, subject to the employee being eligible for Government Funding
An Employee can benefit by obtaining a Nationally Accredited Certificate III in Hospitality by just continuing to do their current job and attain accreditation at no cost.
Who is Eligible?
Any Staff member who works at least 21 hours a week on average, and is an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident. The Staff member may not be eligible if they have a qualification greater than or equal to a Certificate III, in any field. (e.g. – Certificate III in Commerce, Trade Certificate etc)
Course Time
The course is competency based and may take up to 24 months to complete (many participants are able to complete their work in a shorter period). A Qualification and Trade Certificate is issued on successful completion of the course. A total of 16 Units must be completed to attain the qualification, inclusive of but not limited to:
- Process Financial Transactions
- Promote Products and Services
- Deal with Conflict Situations
- Attend Gaming Machines
- Coach Others in Job Skills
- Prepare & Serve Non Alcoholic Beverages
- Develop & Update Food and Beverage Knowledge
- Operate a Bar
- Clean & Tidy Bar
- Clean Premises & Equipment
- Provide Responsible Conduct of Gambling
