Tag and Test: Conduct in-service safety testing of electrical cord assemblies & cord connected equipment (UEENEEP008B)

This course involves a classroom delivery with a simulated practical component.  The facilitator will guide you through the process of testing and tagging covering all aspects of legislation and the relevant Australian Standards.

Please note:  This course does not lead to a Contractors License issued by the Electrical Safety Office (ESO)


Course Outline

A “Statement of Attainment” shall be issued upon completion

People or persons who wish to conduct in-service safety testing of electrical cord assemblies and cord connected equipment for themselves or their employer.  The major career groups for this course will be any workers who work with electrical cord assemblies and cord connected equipment, such as:

  • Maintenance workers
  • Workers in the construction industry
  • Associated electro-technology trades
  • Remote area workers
  • Workers in the information technology industry

Upon successful completion of the Conduct in-service safety testing of electrical cord assemblies and cord connected equipment course students have the ability to undertake the testing of electrical cord assemblies and cord connected equipment for themselves and/or their employers. 

Applicants must have competent literacy and numeracy skills.  Participants are best equipped to achieve this unit if they have reading, writing and numeracy skills as identified on the student enrolment form.

Classroom delivery with practical and theory assessment.
