Certificate III in Retail (SIR30207)
Outline
The Academy is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) which offers Certificates II, III & IV in Retail
Certificate III Retail is being provided by The Academy as a means by which employers and employees can benefit.
An Employer may benefit financially, subject to the employee being eligible for Government Funding
An Employee can benefit by obtaining a Nationally Accredited Certificate III in Retail by just continuing to do their current job and attain accreditation at no cost to themselves.
Who is Eligible?
Any Staff member who works at least 15 hours a week on average, and is an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident. The Staff member may not be eligible if they have a qualification greater than or equal to a Certificate III, in any field. (e.g. – Certificate III in Hospitality etc)
Course Time
The course is competency based and may take 12 months to complete (many participants are able to complete their work in a shorter period). A Qualification and Trade Certificate is issued on successful completion of the course. A total of 10 Units must be completed to attain the qualification, inclusive of:

- Maintain store security:
- Build relationships with customers:
- Coordinate retail office:
- Coordinate interaction with customers:
- Operate retail information technology systems:
- Maintain and order stock:
- Coordinate merchandise presentation:
- Create a display:
- Recommend liquor products:
- Recommend and fit clothing or footwear products and services:
- Develop innovative ideas at work:
- Provide responsible service of alcohol:
- Sell products and services:
- Coordinate sales performance
