Certificate II in Retail (SIR20207)

Outline
The Academy is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) which offers Certificates II, III & IV in Retail
Certificate II Retail is being provided by The Academy as a means by which employers and employees can benefit.
An Employer may benefit financially, subject to the employee being eligible for Government Funding
An Employee can benefit by obtaining a Nationally Accredited Certificate II in Retail by just continuing to do their current job and attain accreditation at no cost to themselves.
Who is Eligible?
Any staff member who works at least 15 hours a week on average, and is an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident. The Staff member may not be eligible if they have a qualification greater than or equal to a Certificate II, in any field. (e.g. – Certificate II in Hospitality etc)
Time
The course is competency based and may take 12 months to complete (many participants are able to complete their work in a shorter period). A Qualification and Trade Certificate is issued on successful completion of the course. A total of 14 Units must be completed to attain the qualification, examples are shown below:

- SIRXMER001A: Merchandise products
- SIRXMER005A: Create a display
- SITXOHS002A: Follow workplace hygiene procedures
- SIRXINV002A: Maintain and order stock
- SIRRRPK006A: Recommend liquor products
- SITHFAB009A: Provide responsible service of alcohol
