Austrain Academy would like to advise we are monitoring the developing COVID-19 situation and the following advice is in line with current advice from Government and NSW Health.
At this stage, training will go ahead as scheduled.
We know these are very challenging times for the hospitality industry.
We will be contacting all employers and students over the next week or so to identify how we can support and assist our clients and students.
If you are an apprentice or trainee, your training contract and training can continue for six months even if you don't have an employer. Please contact us if you are in this situation.
However, in the interests of student, staff and community welfare, the following procedures will be in place:
Students currently excluded from attending training are those who in the last 14 days have:
Additional hygiene measures will be in place to sanitise hard surfaces and areas of frequent contact
Austrain Academy will continue to monitor the situation closely and take advice from NSW Health to ensure we are responding to the situation appropriately.
The situation may change rapidly and we will keep you informed.
We are working on contingency plans if the situation deteriorates with options for technology based training such as webinars etc being investigated.
