FOOD HANDLING BASICS

Food Handler Basics is a non-accredited, online training course that covers the basic knowledge requirements for food handlers in 3.2.2A of the Food Standards Code.

The Environmental Health Officer (EHO) from the Local Council and a representative from your state or territory authority may request demonstrable evidence that you can meet the requirements in your workplace.

Austrain Academy has developed a comprehensive Food Handler training course that will assist with your business’ compliance with Standard 3.2.2A. It covers:

  • safe handling of food
  • understanding of food contamination
  • cleaning and sanitising of food premises and equipment
  • personal hygiene

This is a non-accredited, online training course that covers the basic knowledge requirements for food handlers in 3.2.2A of the Food Standards Code.

Participants work through seven (7) food safe handling modules, and complete an assessment at the end. Those who achieve a score of 100% can receive a certificate of acknowledgement.

Duration:

The course will take approximately 30 - 60 minutes to complete.

Important Note:

It is important to note that a certificate is not a proof of skills under the Food Standards Code and food handlers must also be able to demonstrate they know how to handle food safely in the food business.
